Lost Creek Red Angus
Home is Where the Heart is… Lost Creek Red Angus was born out of a love for the land and cattle when Terry Pierce started raising commercial cattle 20 years ago. Terry & Christina were married in 2005 and made their home at the ranch where they continued to grow their commercial cattle herd. This labor of love grew the Red Angus cattle into a passion. In 2006, Terry and Christina bought their first registered Red Angus cows. Alyssa, their daughter, joined the ranch team and became active in the Junior Red Angus Association in 2007. The team increased the registered Red Angus herd size and in 2009 the opportunity to own the ranch they had been leasing came to life.
The growing herd size and quality cattle resulted in the opportunity to start selling Red Angus bulls by private treaty in 2011. The Red Angus bull business success drove the prospect and new venture of buying heifer calves from reputable breeders and selling them as bred heifers.
Lost Creek Red Angus Ranch strives to raise cattle that are easy fleshing while still being able to raise quality calves. The cows are moderate framed and are easy to handle. They must have good udders with adequate milk to be kept in the herd. The bull calves are hand fed on the ranch with enough nutrition to keep them on the gain without over conditioning them. The bulls must be deep sided, thick in the hind quarter and sound. Lost Creek Red Angus Bulls are GUARANTEED for one breeding season.
